The Results from today’s events have been sent out by email and can be downloaded from the website (look under TRIATHLON 2020-2021 – RESULTS) – it was wonderful to see so many newbies – particularly in the younger age groups – you are the future of our sport in Zimbabwe so we would love to have you as permanent members of the Triathlon Zimbabwe family.  If there are any queries on the Results please let me know a.s.a.p.

Many thanks also to all at the Global Institute of Emotional Health for supporting Eve and this event, thanks also to Praz “Mr Magic Camera” Makosa who took some fantastic photos and has posted them on our Facebook page – if you are not a member of our page please send a Join Request.  A gallery has been uploaded below and more pics will be added as they come in.  Please also take a look at some of the video clips – click on the links below –

There is NO triathlon next weekend as it is the Independence National Holiday, our next event will take place at Mount Pleasant on SUNDAY 25TH APRIL – this will be the 2nd Selection Time Event for the U15/U17 and U19 Age Group Youth/Juniors to attain the time required for eligibility for selection to the team to participate (hopefully) at Africa Champs in June.  The race day programme will include Tritots, Trikidz, Trisports, Trifun, Trifit, Supersprint and Sprint distances – individuals and teams are most welcome – the Trifun and Trifit run distances will revert to the normal 1.25km and 2.5km.  If there are any people who would like to have the STANDARD as well, please let me know so that we can include it in the timing schedule.  The Start Times and Race Day programme will be finalised this week and the Online Registration portals will be opened thereafter – we look forward to seeing you all again

PENHALONGA – 1ST MAY 2021

We have received approval to stage the Smallbridge Dam Penhalonga Event which will be the final Selection Time event for the U15/U17 and U19 age groups – Supersprint, Sprint and Standard distances for triathlon are on the programme at the moment but other distances may be added.  The start times etc. are being finalised but indication is that the races will start late morning / midday – if you will be camping overnight at Smallbridge on Saturday night we are organising for catered DINNER (Chicken Curry and Rice) at an approximate cost of US$ 5 per head so if you would like to be included in the dinner please let me know a.s.a.p. for catering purposes.  Race Entry fees etc., will be advised soon.

Thank you all again for a fantastic morning – have a great week and a peaceful and safe Independence weekend.
