What a way to end off a very successful season – our last event at Mount Pleasant Pool on Sunday was fantastic – the pool complex was buzzing !! Thanks to everyone who came and raced – please remember that these were fun events and no timings or placings for any of the races were recorded.
Well done to all the Technical Officials and Volunteers who entered the Splash ‘n Dash event – a great group of people who finally got to have some fun !!
Prize giving was held after the events – well done to all the little ones in Trikidz and Trisports – after such a long season you always turn up on a Sunday so excited to race – certificates and gifts were awarded – our grateful thanks to Audrey Martin and Pam Massey of Bratz Basement for your sponsorship and support.
The main Series Prize giving was also held and series certificates were awarded – if you could not make it on Sunday please check the lists attached to see if your name is there – you can collect certificates from the Superintendent at Mount Pleasant Pool from Wednesday 3rd April.
Triathlon Zimbabwe Series and National Trophies were also awarded, congratulations and well done to all the 2018-2019 recipients. Please have your trophy engraved and return it to us at the end of next season prior to 2019-2020 Prize Giving.
The Aquathlon Interschools Series finale was also held – aquathlon has grown and developed over the course of the season with more schools entering each event – it was an exciting finish to the end of the season with the Participation Trophy up for the taking – congratulations to St Michael’s Presentation Primary School who emerged as the overall winners for the most teams entered and completing races this season – well done gentlemen !!

On behalf of the Executive Board, Sub-Committees, Coaches and Technical Officials, may we take this opportunity to thank you all for your wonderful support this season, it has been a challenging season but has ended on a very high and happy note.

Our thanks also go to all the volunteers and support staff behind the scenes who are at the pool complex setting up for every event and are out on the course every Saturday and Sunday making sure that the roads are safe and as pot-hole free as possible, cutting the grass and clearing the verges and keeping the pool in such great condition. We are always looking for Volunteers to help out on race days so if anyone would like to get more involved, please get in touch.
The only other item on the agenda will be the Annual General Meeting that will be held later in the year – details will be published closer to the time and you are strongly encouraged to attend.
