Congratulations to CATHERINE JENNINGS who was appointed to officiate as the Technical Delegate at the recently held 2022 Africa Cup in Tunisia – a fantastic job well done Cath !!
Our Elite Female athlete ANDIE KUIPERS who is based at Lenoir Rhyne University in the States participated at the 2022 Africa Cup in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt at the end of May and flew straight on the Tunisia to compete at the Yasmine Hammamet event, both races hugely important for her in gaining valuable experience and points on her road to Paris 2024. Congratulations Andie – every race is a learning curve and we are behind you all the way – a few words from Andie after her races –
“Leaving the last 2 weeks of racing frustrated and a bit disheartened ❤️
I find it hard to share the bad results but unfortunately that’s the reality of racing at this level. The jump to elite racing hasn’t been smooth but it’s definitely helped show me my weaknesses and the level I need to be at to be competitive. Although the past 2 races have been tough to process mentally, I am so grateful for the experience and opportunity to learn and grow. Onwards from here and back to work ⚒️
Thank you so much to Triathlon Zimbabwe for their ongoing support and belief in me, I couldn’t do it without the team behind me, particularly Carol, Pam, Rick and Dave. Your help and support does not go unoticed and I am so grateful to have you all along for this journey. Lastly a huge thank you and congratulations to Cath Jennings for putting on such an incredible and well organized event in Tunisia, I was so humbled by the hard work put into the event and proud to be apart of Tri Zim”
