24 JANUARY 2025 NOTICE TO ALL YOUTH AND JUNIOR ATHLETES

PLEASE REFER TO THE AMENDED SELECTION CRITERIA (download below) WHICH LAYS OUT THE QUALIFYING TIMES AT TROUTBECK FOR AFRICA CHAMPS TEAM SELECTION (Refer to Page 4)

NOTICE TO ALL AGE GROUP, YOUTH AND JUNIOR ATHLETES
There are 2 Standard Distance races for AG athletes at MOUNT PLEASANT on SUNDAY 26^TH JANUARY and SUNDAY 9^TH FEBRUARY respectively in preparation for the National Triathlon Championships being held at Troutbeck on 8^th March 2025

As per the SELECTION CRITERIA – AG athletes wishing to qualify to represent Zimbabwe at AFRICA CHAMPIONSHIPS in Nelson Mandela Bay in April will therefore have 3 opportunities to qualify

YOUTH AND JUNIOR ATHLETES
There are 3 remaining events for SA Champs team selection – Sunday 26^th January, Sunday 9^th February and Sunday 16^th February

Troutbeck is NO LONGER a Selection Race for SA JUNIOR CHAMPS

JUNIORS – Please request an entry for the AFRICA TRIATHLON JUNIOR CUP TROUTBECK through the Secretary General. 

The U17 and U19 ZIMBABWE National Championship results will be extracted from the Junior Cup results

The TROUTBECK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS / AFRICA JUNIOR CUP and SA CHAMPS are SELECTION RACES for Youth and Juniors hoping to qualify for AFRICA CHAMPS NELSON MANDELA BAY, 5-6^TH APRIL

DECEMBER 2024 – NOTE TO ALL ATHLETES –

AG ADULT ATHLETES – if you qualify to compete at Africa Champs in 2025 in Port Elizabeth are required to compete in a TRIATHLON ZIMBABWE approved race suit.

YOUTH AND JUNIOR ATHLETES – if you qualify to compete at SA Youth or Junior Champs you will be required to compete in the approved TRIATHLON ZIMBABWE GREEN/BLACK TRI-SUIT.

Any athlete who has previously earned the right to wear the approved TRIATHLON ZIMBABWE RED SUIT may do so

ORDERS FOR TRI-SUITS MUST BE MADE WITH MRS MARLISE VAN AS contact 0772 237146 NO LATER THAN 6TH JANUARY 2025
