A huge welcome to all the new participants who joined us yesterday at Mount Pleasant – it was wonderful to have you as part of the Triathlon family and look forward to seeing you all again at our next event. Thanks to all our regular members and participants for a great morning of racing – our youth and junior athletes were racing hard vying for the selection points they need to be eligible for selection to the Youth and Junior Tours scheduled for early 2022 – well done to you all, some fantastic times were achieved.
With the gradual introduction of Aquathlon and Duathlon to our race day programme our events are getting more an more exciting and diverse with something on the schedule for everyone of all ages and abilities – fantastic for the growth and development of our 3 disciplines – triathlon – aquathlon and duathlon. All 3 disciplines will be on our race day programmes for every event (unless otherwise stated) and we are planning on having duathlon events during the winter months when it is off-season for triathlon – keep your eyes posted for updates as and when they are published. It was great to have the Boys in Red and Green from St Michaels and St Johns Prep Schools with us – an interschools series is in the pipeline so this is a shout out to ALL SCHOOL PARENTS – please tell your school about triathlon, aquathlon and duathlon or get in touch with us for more details, we welcome all school teams to come along and give it a try
Thanks also go to the Tour Manager and Fundraising and Tour Committee for providing us all with an amazing selection of scrumptious food and treats – your support was hugely appreciated and all proceeds are going towards the 2022 Tours.
The results and points from these event will be published shortly and the Selection Points are being verified by the Selectors and will be posted soon. NEXT EVENT – PLEASE DIARISE NOW – SUNDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2022 – EVE’S TRI-FIT CHALLENGE – WEAR ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ORANGE – raising awareness about Gender Based Violence. Events on the programme include Tritots, Trikidz, Trisport – Trifun, Trifit, Sprint, Supersprint triathlon events for individuals and teams – ALSO – Aquathlon Aquafun and Aquafit for individuals and teams – AS WELL AS Duathlon Dufun, Dufit and Dusprint ….. an action packed morning on the cards !!
