What a brilliant turnout on Sunday 14th January for the first event of 2024 – thank you to everyone who came down to Mount Pleasant Pool, we had a fantastic morning despite the short rain spell but hope that you all enjoyed yourselves when the sun came out again.
We were very excited to host the Hellenic School Invitational Triathlon event and thank all the schools, coaches, parents and all involved in organizing this development event. Hellenic Primary School, St Johns Prep, St Michaels Presentation Primary, Springvale House School, Wise Owl School, Abbeys Preparatory School sent a huge contingent of young athletes who competed in both Trisport and TriFun distance events based on their Age/Grade – the pool was buzzing with excitement and it was so good to see the happy, smiles on the faces of the aspiring triathletes of the future. After collating the scores, the winner of the trophy today was Springvale House School – Congratulations to you and well done to all the athletes. Our normal events were also held, this being Selection Race Number 6 for our Youth and Junior Athletes hoping to qualify to participate at the upcoming SA Youth Championships and Junior Championships in a few weeks’ time.
