Our 2024-2025 Triathlon Season is coming to an end and we are going out on a very high note – a hugely successful tour to SA Champs in Benoni last weekend with 4 of our Youth athletes bringing home Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals – well done Zander Botha, Rachel O’Donoghue, Olivia Beamish and Alexis Beamish – and we have Nominees in 4 Categories at the ANSA Awards being held on 30th March – GOOD LUCK TO ALL !!
We invite you ALL to come down to Mount Pleasant Pool for our last event of the season on SUNDAY 30TH MARCH – have some fun and enter any of the events on offer and then stay on to join us for the End of Season Series Certificate Awards and Season Trophy Presentations. For this final event we will have all the TriTots, TriKidz & Trisport events followed by their Season Series Prize Giving at approximately 0900am – then there will be Sprint, TriFit & TriFun Triathlon, AquaFun & AquaFit Aquathlon, DuSprint, DuFun & DuFit Duathlon – individual and team entries most welcome
SEASON SERIES CERTIFICATES – please check the attached FINAL SEASON POINTS to see if you will be receiving a Season Series Certificate so that you can make sure you are there on Sunday to receive your award. Series Certificates are awarded to the TOP 3 athletes in each age category who have accumulated the most points (regardless of event distance raced) throughout the season.
During the course of this season we introduced the 2024-2025 SCHOOLS SERIES which was held over 3 events and hosted by a different school each time – the last of the series was held on 16th February and the Schools Series Trophy will be presented to the overall winning School for this season.
2024-2025 Triathlon Zimbabwe Season Trophy Awards will be made together with the presentation of the National Championship Trophies for the U13 / U15 / U17 / U19 and AG age categories.
Prize Giving will take place from approximately 1030 am so after your races, please go grab a bite to eat and a nice cold beverage from The Draughtman and then join us for the awards and presentations.
During the off-season winter months we hope to have some duathlon events prior to the DUATHLON NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS which we hope to schedule for early in the 2025-2026 Season so keep going with your running and bike training in preparation for Nationals.
