As you know the refurbishment project at Mount Pleasant Pool has been ongoing for many weeks and once again we extend our sincere thanks to all the generous donors and well wishers who have contributed to this project.
With our new season kicking off on 9th September we have a few items to be finalised – the most important being the repairing of the roads used on our cycle and run courses around the Mount Pleasant area. Your safety during races is our paramount concern and therefore we will be undertaking a blitz operation next Saturday 1st September.
As much pot hole repair mix has been purchased with the remains of funds in the pool refurb kitty and Dave Ellis will be out and about on the various roads with a team of casual labourers to repair the pot holes – we need a lot more mix to fix everything so if you live in the area and use the same roads daily, or if you know any of the residents who would be happy to assist in any way, please join the team at Mount Pleasant Pool on Saturday 1st September from about 9.00am – sponsor a bag of pot hole mix to help us get the job done. Repair and painting of benches in the change rooms and around the pool – beautiful hanging baskets and garden maintenance – and general tidy up of the grounds is underway – so …. diarise Saturday 1st September if you can spare a few hours to come and give us a hand !!!
