ONCOCARE PINK TRIATHLON AND AQUATHLON

ITU LEVEL ONE COACHING COURSES
As part of our ongoing Development Plan, TZ were invited by the ITU to send 3 members of the triathlon community to attend a fully funded Level One Coaching Course in Korea in November, and 1 member to attend a similar course in Johannesburg in December. After going through the applications, Caron O’Hara, Martin Mbofana and Tinahe Dube were selected to travel to Korea – all have arrived safely and will start the course tomorrow – we will keep you updated. Gerald Chiposi was selected to attend the course in South Africa. On completion of the courses and examinations, all 4 members will be qualified ITU Level One Coaches and will be assisting Pam Fulton with coaching clinics, promotion of our sport within the schools and assisting at our events.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS NEWS
Congratulations to Rick Fulton and Dave Ellis who have once again been appointed as the Event Director and Technical Delegate respectively at the 2019 Cape Town ITU Triathlon World Cup Event in February 2019 – well done both of you !
NEXT MOUNT PLEASANT EVENT
A reminder that the next event on our calendar takes place this Sunday 11TH NOVEMBER – a FULL HOUSE of events on the programme – Standard, Trikidz and Trisports, Half Sprint, Quarter Super-Sprint, Short and Long Minis for teams and individuals, Bonaqua Corporate Team Challenge (Long Mini) and Aquathlon Interschools Short and Long Distance – All events are Series races and for the Junior Sprint and Youth Super-Sprints these are SELECTION RACES # 2.
PLEASE PRE-REGISTER AND PRE-PAY BY ECOCASH (0784 519937) – this is a HUGE help to me and saves a lot of time on Race day – please take a minute or two to either enter online or email me / whatsapp me BEFORE 7.00PM on Saturday 10th November – online registration is OPEN from now. A gentle reminder that if you have not yet made your $50 Annual membership fee this can be paid at any time until the end of season.
AQUATHLON – Pre-registration and submission of School team lists to be sent to Caroline Hawgood directly as arranged.
The Race Day Schedule with approximate Start Times will be sent out towards the end of the week.
