TROUTBECK UPDATE –

Zimbabwe Triathlon Association

The BONAQUA TROUTBECK ATU TRIATHLON AFRICAN CUP and supporting events are taking place at Troutbeck in 3 weeks. 
We have a massive field of Elite Men and Women coming from all over the world – to date we have 20 men and 8 women – plus the inaugural Junior African Cup Sprint Triathlon is taking place with Junior Elites from across Africa coming to race – it is going to be a very exciting day and hope that you will be joining us.
TROUTBECK ENTRIES – ALL EVENTS – Triathlon – Cross-Triathlon – Trikidz – Trisports – Aquathlon – Open Water Swim

  • If you have not already done so, PLEASE do your entry via the website www.zimtri.org – go to 2019 TROUTBECK MULTISPORT FESTIVAL – follow the drop-downs to each particular event – the ONLINE ENTRY FORM is there – fill it in and hit the send button – takes 2 minutes !!
  • The Entry form has details of the ENTRY FEE which can be sent to ecocash number 0784 519937 – upon receipt of your online entry and confirmation of ecocash payment you will be entered onto the start lists
  • Please do your entries as soon as possible please as we need to confirm our orders for t-shirts and other event products

ATU TROUTBECK JUNIOR AFRICAN CUP ENTRIES – this applies to our categories G, H, P and Q

  • The Start Lists for the Junior Men and Junior Women can be viewed on the ITU website – Zimbabwe entries are confirmed – South Africa are yet to enter their athletes so as you can see – this will be a VERY exciting event for our Junior Men and Women with such a big field of entries.
  • Please check the Start Lists – if you have NOT be entered please contact me IMMEDIATELY as I will have to enter you through the ITU entries system.
  • If you have been entered and now wish to withdraw please also contact me immediately so that I can request for you to be removed from the start list.
  • Junior Athletes (male and female) who do not wish to race in the Junior African Cup Sprint event may still race at Troutbeck BUT you will have to race with the AG athletes in the sprint distance or super-sprint distances
  • ENTRY FEES – Entry fees for the Juniors is $ 50 each – please send to the ecocash number 0784 519937

  • This document consists of 2 pages – please print yourself a copy so that you know where you need to be, what you need to do and at what time – Friday 15th February and race day 16th February

ACCOMMODATION –

  • Troutbeck Inn hotel is fully booked – please ensure you have made alternative accommodation arrangements.  For those who have booked rooms in the hotel with me, please confirm you still want your reservations – payment must be made directly with Troutbeck Inn when you check in / check out – please do not send any transfers to the Triathlon Zimbabwe account for accommodation

FUEL –

  • If you require assistance with fuel for your return trip home from Troutbeck please advise how many litres and if petrol or diesel will be required.  I will add you to the procurement list.  DEADLINE MONDAY 28TH JANUARY
