Thanks to all who came down to Mount Pleasant yesterday for what was a great morning of family fun – the New Format event proved to be quite enjoyable by all accounts – it was tough but added something different to the program.
We were joined by the Zimbabwe U17 Waterpolo team who came and “tried a tri” as part of their fitness and training regime prior to their tour to SA in December – thanks for coming guys and hope to see you again on the 24th November – great to have you with us. Our thanks are extended to all present who joined us in observing a minutes silence in honour of the memory of Pam Fulton’s dear Mum, Mrs Daphne Chalmers, who tragically passed away earlier in the week, our love, thoughts and prayers are with Pam and her family.
Results and times for the races will be sent out in due course and will be posted on our website to view and download – Selection Points will also be forwarded once they have been verified.
Thanks also to all who purchased Raffle Tickets for the 200 litre Drum of Fuel – tickets will continue to be on sale until 24th November when the draw will take place at Mount Pleasant – if you would like to get tickets please contact Tammy Benade on email tammybenade@gmail.com – tickets are ZWL 100 or $5 – you gotta be in it to win it so drop Tam a line to get your tickets.
Our next event at Mount Pleasant takes place on Sunday 24th November – race program will be on the same lines as yesterday but keep checking the website and your emails for updates – we will also have the Aquathlon events so it is going to be a busy, busy morning.
A reminder also that the Penhalonga Multisport Weekend is taking place over the weekend of Friday 6th to Sunday 8th December as Smallbridge Dam, Penhalonga – the event details will be published shortly with race programme, entry fees etc., – this is a fantastic weekend away at a beautiful venue (camping facilities only at the venue), if you aren’t a camper La Rochelle Hotel have a Triathlon Weekend Special – reservation details will be sent out soon.
