Apologies for the delay in getting this out to you – ongoing gremlins and goblins and cut cables in my internet connection so made another plan to get onto the system – the results from Sunday’s events are attached – as these were fun events there were no timings recorded and positions are calculated on heats and disc numbers
Thank you ALL for supporting our Fundraising Event on Sunday 15th March – it was a great morning and a lot of fun had by all – thank you to the Touring Team for motivating and mentoring all the Little People – moments like those mean so much to them and they do not forget !!! Our grateful thanks to all the sponsors who took the time to come and witness what happens at Triathlon and hope that you all had a wonderful morning. Thanks to Mr Obs Steffens and Introwise Catering for looking after the sponsors during the course of the morning.
Sadly, with the ongoing global pandemic the Covid-19 situation has had an impact on all ITU and ATU events world wide. We were notified officially by Triathlon South Africa on Monday morning that the SA CHAMPIONSHIPS schedule to take place on Sunday 22nd March have been CANCELLED. This means that our Touring Team will no longer be travelling to Durban this weekend. Whilst all are extremely disappointed for the kids, there will be more opportunities once this situation returns to normal and events resume. Do not lose heart – keep training throughout the winter season and be ready and raring to go when the new season starts again in September.
We have 1 event left on the Triathlon Zimbabwe Calendar – scheduled for 29th March 2020 at Mount Pleasant Pool – this will be the Finale of the Interschools Aquathlon Series where the Participation Trophy is up for grabs – also on the programme will be fun triathlon events and then our Season Prize Giving will take place. A reminder to all those who have not yet returned their trophies to please contact me URGENTLY to arrange for delivery.
