On behalf of the President, Executive Board and Members of Triathlon Zimbabwe, we cannot thank you enough for the outstanding support yesterday for the 10th Pink Fun Triathlon held at Mount Pleasant Pool. There is no doubt about it – it was a fantastic morning for everyone involved – from the organisers, support staff, sponsors, Triathlon Zimbabwe – but most importantly – you the athletes.
Our thanks go to Debi Jeans, The Pink Project Ladies (and gents) and to the event sponsors, ZIMWORX, for sponsoring the event – and for sending such a great group of guys and girls – the Zimworx teams were by far the most vocal and supported not only their own team mates, but all the participants – what a great morning.
There are still funds trickling in so we will give a final figure on what was raised yesterday from donations and race entry fees – your generosity and support for such a great cause was mind blowing – thank you everyone for your support. The feedback already received and social media reports have been wonderful, not only for The Pink Project, but for Triathlon Zimbabwe as well.
Whilst the events were “fun” and no times or results were recorded, I have managed to put together a Positions List for those who are interested – please remember that it was incredibly busy at the finish table and there were often more than 2 runners from the same team crossing the line … so there may be a few slight mistakes in the list – please don’t lose sight of the fact that they were FUN races. TO all the “Newbies” who gave triathlon a go for the first time yesterday – PLEASE do come back and join us at our events at Mount Pleasant Pool on Sundays – our calendar can be viewed here on the website – go to TRIATHLON 2020-2021 – Information. Online entries will be open for each event in the week preceding the race – we welcome all new members. Our next event is scheduled for Sunday 8th November so diarise the date and if you need any information please contact me.
