Thanks to you all for coming down to Mount Pleasant Pool today – it was INCREDIBLY HOT – well done to all for racing in such extreme conditions – hope that you have recovered and have a good week ahead.
The PRELIMINARY RESULTS have been sent out – including the results for the CORPORATE SERIES # 2 EVENT – it was great to have so many Corporate teams today – spread the word to your colleagues and let’s get more Corporates on board. If there are any queries, errors or amendments to be made please advise me by 5pm tomorrow Monday 9th, November – if there are no amendments these results will stand and will be uploaded to the website. Selection and Series Points Logs are being updated and verified and will be sent out shortly. Thank you so much to Roa Botha and also to Megan Tafaruka for taking so many wonderful photos not only of the races but also of the “prize giving”
As you will remember, our 2019-2020 End of Season Prize Giving and Awards due to be held at the end of March had to be postponed due to the arrival of Covid-19 and subsequent national lockdown. Today we were able to have presentations of sorts and would like to thank you all for your co operation and understanding with the delay – a gallery of photos is attached below and a whole load of photos have been posted on our Facebook page – please take a look and tag yourselves !! Our Instagram page will be updated shortly too. Congratulations once again to all award winners – special thanks go to Bratz Basement who donated some lovely gifts for the little people in Trikdz and Trisports – thank you Audrey. If anyone did not collect their awards please let me know, and we can organise for collection at our next event at Mount Pleasant.
On that note – the next event on our season calendar will be on SUNDAY 22ND NOVEMBER – THE T4 FUN TRIATHLON which is a fundraising event on the same lines as Pink Day but this month we are focussing on all the Men and Boys in our society and bringing awareness to Men’s Health and Cancer issues – we look to you again for your support and help us raise as much as we can for this worthy cause – all funds raised will be donated to the Cancer Society. Please keep checking our website for event details and online registration.
PENHALONGA EVENT – 12TH DECEMBER – please would you also advise by return email or whatsapp me to let us know if you will be coming to the Smallbridge Dam event – Triathlon Selection Races for Youth and Juniors, AG Standard, Sprint and Supersprint – OFF-ROAD SUPERSPRINT distance – Trikidz and Trisports all on Saturday 12th, followed by Aquathlon and an Open Water Swim on Sunday morning if there is an interest. Event details, race program etc.. will be published a.s.a.p. but we would like to get an idea of how many competitors we can expect.
