SEPTEMBER REMINDERS & INFO

Hope you all having a great weekend – back to school next week for a very busy 3rd term for everyone with all the sporting fixtures and internal and public examinations ahead – hope you have a successful term.  Just a reminders and some information for you all –

PARENTS OF SELECTION AGE YOUTH (U13, U15) AND JUNIOR ATHLETES (U17, U19) –

  • Check Age Distances and Categories to establish if your child is eligible to participate in the Youth and Junior Selection races. https://www.zimtri.org/race-distances/
  • Study the Eligibility and Selection Criteria documents https://www.zimtri.org/2022-2023-selection/
  • Mr Paul Denslow from the Selectors Committee will be available to go over and explain the criteria with parents and athletes after our next event at Mount Pleasant on Sunday 11th September – this is your opportunity to ask any questions so that everyone knows and understands the selection process.

SEASON MEMBERSHIP FEES –

  • The Fees document can be viewed here https://www.zimtri.org/membership-entry-fees/ – please ensure that your subs are paid up on or before 30th September and no later than 30th November please.  These funds are critical to our budget for the payments of affiliation fees, pool maintenance etc.  The race entry fees as laid out in the document for paid up members and non paid up members will also be in effect from the next event

NEXT EVENT – 11TH SEPTEMBER –

  • Printed copies of the Season Calendar can be collected
  • Membership Cards for those who have paid their subs as at 28 August can collect their membership cards from Sanda at the pool and you may utilise the facility for training during normal opening hours during the week
  • Online entries for next event will be opening shortly and Race Day Programme with check in, briefing and start times will be published
  • A full programme of triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon events will be on offer
  • This will be SELECTION RACE # 1, CORPORATE TEAM SERIES RACE # 1 and SERIES POINTS RACE # 1

This will be the last “home event” for our national Junior team who depart for Morocco on 18th September to compete at the Africa Triathlon Championships on 24th and 25th September so please do come down to Mount Pleasant Pool and wish them all well.  The team have been training intensively, had team building exercises and are raring to go – your support would be hugely welcome !!
