A HUGE thank you to everyone who came down to Mount Pleasant this morning for PINK DAY 2023 – despite the scorching heat we hope that you all had a fantastic time and enjoyed it as much as the sponsors and organizers did. Welcome to all the “newbies” who joined us for the first time today – we look forward to seeing you at the remainder of our events on the calendar for the 2023-2024 season !!

Debi Jeans, The Pink Project, Pastor Sam and all at ZIMWORX for sponsoring the event today, Dulux who kindly sponsored the camo pink Peak Caps, Evolution Insurance Company for donating the pink bucket hats that were given to the first 40 participants who had entered online, Schweppes Zimbabwe for keeping us all hydrated with Bonaqua and Schweppes Water, National Foods and the gorgeous ladies who distributed delicious Pink Day Gloria Flour Cup Cakes, Pearlenta NutriActive for the yummy cereals given to participants at the finish line, The Draughtman who was on site serving delicious food and drinks, ZimCycles – Mark and Blessing for making sure all the bikes were in ship shape condition and race ready, Safeguard Zimbabwe – Andy Mallon, Lol Ribeiro and the most fantastic team of ladies and gents (who are now part of the TZ family) for covering all the security needs and Safe Bag Drop Facility, to all the wonderful supporters and well-wishers who donated prizes for the Lucky Draw which was held before the main events got underway (congratulations to all the winners !!) and lastly to all the Triathlon Zimbabwe Technical Officials, Riggers and Support Staff for hosting the event.
We had a total of 156 participants of all ages and abilities across all disciplines, a great turnout and it was wonderful to see the effort and attention to GETTING IN THE PINK – all your outfits were fantastic and we sure did turn Mount Pleasant Pink. All of the events were FUN races so no timing was done but “Positions” can be calculated and will be posted on our website. Remember that it doesn’t matter where you came as long as you enjoyed yourselves and that your entry fee has gone to a truly worthwhile cause !! Once all the administration and financial recons have been finalized we will let you know how much was raised – THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT 😊
