On behalf of the Event Organisers, LOC, President and Board Members of Triathlon Zimbabwe, we would like to thank everyone who travelled to Troutbeck Resort in the beautiful eastern highlands and competed, spectated or supported the 2025 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup & Multisport Festival on Saturday 8th March, we hope you all had a great time and enjoyed yourselves.  The weather was glorious in the days leading up to the event, and on race day it was absolutely perfect for racing conditions.

The Elite Men and Women’s fields saw athletes coming to Zimbabwe from over 13 nations worldwide – we thoroughly enjoyed hosting them and are sure that they will be back for 2026.  The Troutbeck course is most definitely one of the most grueling, but most stunning they have encountered !!

Congratulations to PANAGIOTIS BITADOS from Greece and RACHEL KLAMER from the Netherlands (Zimbabwe born 😊) who were crowned the 2025 Troutbeck Africa Cup Elite Men and Women’s Champions and to NICHOLAS HORNE and KADENCE RIBBINK both from South Africa, who claimed the top spots in the Junior Africa Cup Event – HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS also go to the Silver and Bronze Medalists in all events – a particular mention of our very own NICOLE MADYA who took the Bronze Medal in the Junior Women’s event – well done Nicole !!  Callum Smith, Stanley Chasakara and Mandlenkosi Mthethwa represented Zimbabwe in the Junior Men – fantastic racing by all athletes – hugely proud of all of you.

Finally – without the support of our incredible sponsor group, this event would not have happened – we salute and thank Coca-Cola Africa and the Bonaqua Still Water Brand bottled by Schweppes Zimbabwe, Cimas iGO, CFAO Mobility Zimbabwe, Ecocash Zimbabwe, MCM Legal, Simbisa Brands Zimbabwe, Rooneys Event Management, African Sun Hotels and Troutbeck Resort and our event security partners Safeguard Zimbabwe.  We also thank the Ministry of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Sports and Recreation Commission and the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee for their guidance and assistance during the months of preparations for this event.

Thank you again for your overwhelming support and we look forward to welcoming you back again to the 2026 event, the date for which is being planned already – watch this space for details !!
