The weekend of 9th & 10 September 2023 was a great success for our athletes Duwan Botha and Andie Kuipers who competed at the 2023 Africa Triathlon Junior Cup and Africa Triathlon Sprint Cup events respectively in Blue Bay Mauritius.
Duwan placed 10th overall in the Junior Men’s event with a time of 01:08:35 – a great achievement for this young man and a very exciting future in triathlon ahead for him.
Andie Kuipers competed in the U23/Elite Women’s event finishing 5th overall AND securing the SILVER MEDAL in the U23 Category !!! Andie placed 2nd after South Africa’s Bridget Theunissen who won the Gold and ahead of Kenya’s Aisha Baksh who took the Bronze.
