SATURDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER – RACE DAY – Africa Championships Agadir 2022 .. what an incredible day it has been for all of us!!! Our team did themselves, TZ, their parents and our country PROUD – fast and furious racing across all age groups with some seriously strong (and bigger) competitors !!! Every single athlete gave 150% and regardless of where they came, they raced their hearts out. Congratulations to everyone you are all winners but especially to our U15 Girls Anje van As who got Gold, Nicole Madya got Silver and Tayleigh Taylor took the Bronze. Tomorrow SUNDAY 25th – while you all at home and racing at Mount Pleasant Team Zimbabwe will be competing in the MIXED TEAM RELAYS – this will be so exciting and they will be racing against teams from South Africa Morocco Mauritius Algeria Tunisia and Egypt – 4 members per team so our team will be Matipa – Anje – George – Andie. As our youngest members Callum and Rohnan are too young to officially compete we have been allowed to enter them together with Maka and Nicole to make up another team so they can experience the mixed team relay and Brooklyn and Emma may be part of an international team – it’s all about taking part and enjoying the experience 🙂
