URGENT NOTICE – CHANGE OF VENUE – SUNDAY 5TH FEBRUARY EVENT
Further to my email notice yesterday, we regret to announce that the event scheduled to take place at Borrowdale Brooke on Sunday 5th February will now take place at Mount Pleasant Pool.
Following receipt of the Water Quality Test results for the Borrowdale Brooke swim venue and in line with World Triathlon Water Quality Safety Guidelines, the swim section of the triathlon events cannot take place at the Brooke.
After consultation and discussions with the Medical Delegate and Organising Committee, it has been decided to move the event back to Mount Pleasant. We cannot change the event at the Brooke to a full duathlon event as this is a crucial Selection Points Event for our Youth and Junior athletes and they must have a swim element in their races.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment but trust that you will appreciate that as your safety is our paramount concern, this decision will ensure that all our members, participants and guest entrants can race in a safe environment. We WILL reschedule an event at Borrowdale Brooke hopefully before the end of this season but will keep you updated. We thank the Management of Borrowdale Brooke Golf Club as well as the Homeowners and Residents of the Brooke Estate for their cooperation and understanding regarding the cancellation of the event at their venue.
