Locally, an Inter-Schools Aquathlon Series was initiated in 2018 and gradually gained momentum over the following 2 seasons with fantastic participation by primary and secondary schools in Harare – St Michaels, Harare International School, Arundel, Twin Rivers to name a few.
Things came to an abrupt halt as we approached the 2019-2020 season when we were hit with the COVID PANDEMIC – sport was banned, schools were closed down – we could not do anything ….
Although recently the lockdown rules and restrictions have been gradually lifted, the SCHOOLS have internal policies with regards to sport and sadly, we have not been able to resuscitate the Inter-Schools Series this season and hope to resume again in the 2022-2023 season
