It was with great shock and sadness that we learned of the sudden and unexpected passing of Rob Wallace, one of our Technical Officials and Level 2 Coaches.
Rob joined the triathlon family many years ago, initially as a parent supporting his young son Nicholas but got more involved in our events, he passed the Level One Technical Official’s course and joined the ranks as a World Triathlon Technical Official. Rob’s passion was coaching and was successful in his application to attend a World Triathlon Coaching Course in Korea where he gained his WT Level One Coaches Qualification. After coaching for a few more years and gaining more experience and other qualifications, Rob progressed to the next level in World Triathlon accreditation and passed the exam to become 1 of only 3 Level Two Triathlon Coaches in Zimbabwe.
Our sincere condolences are extended to Nicholas and the Wallace family, Rob will be missed by the triathlon community.
