Just on a week to go until Troutbeck – the Build In Crew and the LOC will be packing the trucks this weekend and will be leaving early on Monday morning for Troutbeck to get everything ready for your arrival –
The Event Schedule has been sent out by email – there have been some minor changes so please study it carefully so you know where you have to be, when, at what time and what for. This document as well as the ATHLETE AND EVENT GUIDE, Course Maps etc., can be viewed and downloaded from this website.
Some exciting news to share – Zimbabwe will be represented in both the Elite Men and Elite Women’s event – Matthew Denslow, who made his elite debut last weekend at the ATU Maselspoort African Cup, will be making his “2nd debut” on home ground – Laurelle Brown will be racing in the Elite Women’s event – we wish them both all the very best – home supporters will be there to cheer you on.

Those who are still to settle entry fees please would you make payment either to the TZ Cabs account or to either Ecocash numbers 0772 410344 or 0784 519937 – use the bank rate of the day please. Once your payment has been received you will be moved onto the Start Lists
If you haven’t entered yet please go over to the ONLINE ENTRIES tab under the 2020 Troutbeck ATU African Cup header and fill in the form and send in your entry fee – takes 2 minutes … and helps us with the preparation of the data required by the Timing Company for the Start Lists.
We will accept late entries for CROSS-TRIATHLON / TRIATHLON and TRIKIDZ / TRISPORTS AS WELL AS AQUATHLON events until 1600 LATEST on Friday 21ST February at Troutbeck – NO FURTHER ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED
Only Open Water Swim late entries will be accepted at Registration on Saturday 22nd – race day – please check the Event Schedule for registration opening and closing times
FUEL PROCUREMENT – ALL THOSE WHO RESPONDED WITH THEIR FUEL REQUIREMENTS
Our fuel tranche will be held at the ZUVA FUEL STATION opposite Montclair Hotel – open 6am to 6pm. The Fuel Attendant Supervisor will have the LIST OF TRIATHLON FUEL REQUIREMENTS – those who responded and were included by TZ on this list will be given first priority and served with the amount and type of fuel that was requested – Bond / Swipe / Ecocash payments are accepted at the pump
If you missed the deadline, there is another fuel station just up the road from Troutbeck Inn Resort that will also have fuel available but payment there will be either US$ Cash, Mastercard or Visa or transfer to a Nostro Account
SATURDAY ARRIVALS FOR THOSE STAYING OFF-SITE – AQUATHLON / OPEN WATER SWIM COMPETITORS
Please be cognisant of the fact that races will be starting at 0700 on 22dn February and there will be cyclists and runners on the road. There will be LIMITED access to the hotel entrance and parking of vehicles and buses must be planned for EARLY arrival at the venue – marshals will direct you to the parking areas. Come early and experience the excitement of watching a fantastic international event and support our Elite and Juniors in the African Cup and Junior African Cup events
JUNIOR AFRICAN CUP ENTRIES
Entries have been done through the ITU entries system – please check the START LISTS on the ITU Website event page for Troutbeck ATU Junior African Cup. If there is anyone who has not requested an entry please contact me urgently to submit your entry. Entry fees are still outstanding from a few Juniors, please get these in ASAP. The fee includes the Awards Dinner Ticket.
EVENING FUNCTION – SATURDAY 22nd FEBRUARY
LIMITED Tickets are available for the evening function – unfortunately we are limited to seating for 250 people so bookings will be done on a first come first to pay basis. Tickets are US$ 25 cash or ZWL 500 per head payable to the TZ Cabs account or ecocash numbers 0772 410344 or 0784 519937 – if you would like to get tickets please let me know ASAP – it will be a sit down 3 course Buffet meal. The function will be attended by VVIP’s from the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation, Zimbabwe Olympic Committee, Sports and Recreation Commission and our amazing Sponsors – Bonaqua Still Water – Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited, Coca-Cola, OK Bon Marche, Cimas iGo and Rooneys Hire Specialists.
