It has been extremely busy ‘behind the scenes’ since our last event at Mount Pleasant on 12th February, I have finally caught up and my feet have touched the ground. By now you will have seen all the results, photos and reports from the Ilala Lodge Invitation Triathlon and Aquathlon event at Smallbridge Dam in Penhalonga last weekend, it really was a fantastic event and hope that more of you will come and enter next time. The TZ website has now been updated with all of the Results, Series Points, Final Selection Points, Corporate Team Challenge Points, Aquathlon Results for Juniors and Seniors together with the Points and Positions and Scoreboard for the Participation Trophy for 12th and 18th February Events – please take the time and navigate to the relevant page (i.e. Results & Points, Selection & Tours, Aquathlon) to view and download these documents – if there are any queries please contact us immediately so that amendments (if any) can be made.
Our next event is on Sunday 5th March at Mount Pleasant – this will be a Full house of events and will include:
Triathlon – Series Races # 9 – Trikids, Trisports, Standard, Half Sprint, Quarter Super Sprint, Long Mini and Short Minis – teams welcome for all distances
Triathlon Corporate Team Relay Challenge – Series Races # 3 – Short and Long Mini distances
Aquathlon Interschools Series Races # 6 – Junior Schools (Short Distance) and Senior Schools (Long Distance) – adults are welcome to enter the aquathlon events however you do not accumulate any points
Online registration for the Triathlon events is now open – please go to UPCOMING EVENTS and pre-register – Schools – please submit your Aquathlon team lists by latest Saturday 4th March.
VERY IMPORTANT – PAYMENT OF ANNUAL $4 SPORTSMANS LEVY
Please would ALL members ensure that the $4 Annual Sportsman’s Levy is paid BEFORE the end of season on 26th March 2017. Trikids and Trisports competitors are also required to pay the levy – thank you to everyone who has paid since January – there are a lot of members whose contributions are still outstanding. As previously advised in numerous emails, it is a STATUTORY REQUIREMENT that every NSA (National Sports Association) submits this annual levy from every member to the SRC (Sports and Recreation Commission) thereby keeping in line and up to date with the Compliance Regulations in force.
